Control cables are used for power supply into the interior of buildings and are also used for industrial control circuits.
APPLICATION
In a manufacturing plant, the production machine system needs wires from the power source to the control system of the equipment to operate. Control cables are created to meet that need.
STRUCTURE

Structure of a control cable
Conductor
Control wires have multiple pairs and multiple cores.
High purity and oxygen free copper core is annealed and braided with PVC, PE or XLPE insulation.
The conductor core is circular compressed braid or compressed Segments type in accordance with international standard IEC 60228.
Lining layer (separator layer)
Insulation materials are made from Polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic.
Consists of single or double braided screens, made of aluminum or tinned copper.
Cover
The sheath material is made from cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
In some places, PVC outer and inner sheathed electric cables contain less than 15% of the total mass of halogenated acids when heated to 800ºC.
APPLICABLE STANDARDS
Including national and international standards on control cables to ensure safety during use.
Currently, there are some standards applied such as TCVN 5935-1995 or TCVN 6610; IEC 60502 or IEC 62067 (150KV).
Control cables have a voltage of 600/1000v, manufactured according to BS 5467 or IEC 60502-1 standards.
CHARACTERISTIC
Control cables have the following distinct characteristics :
Protection of cables against interference with copper tape or aluminum tape.
Protection of cables against mechanical properties with fiber or steel tape.
Protection of cables in fire conditions such as flame retardant, flame retardant or smokeless and emission of toxic gases.
Protection of cables against attack by termites and other insects.
